BB - Tenerife 9-10.

 Csütörtök reggel az előző nap megbeszéltek alapján felvettem 3 útitársat a bérelt autóval és úgy vágtunk neki a napi célunknak, amely nem más, mint Taganana. Egy kis magyarázat! Tenerife-n az autóbérlés nem drága, gyors, és célszerű bérelni, ha az ember minden nap kirándulást tervez iskola után. A heti buszbérlet 50 euró, 2 hétre 100, autót pedig 108 euróért már lehet bérelni teljesen megbízható nemzetközi (autoreisen), vagy helyi cégektől (Cicar). Petra elmondása alapján a szigeten nincs kultúrája és történelme a közösségi közlekedésnek, a helyiek autót használnak mindig, a public transport csak a turisták miatt lett kialakítva és olyan is. Ráadásul itt nincs 5m vízszintes útszakasz sem, vagy felfelé mész, vagy lefelé és aki nem bírja ezt és az örökös hajtűkanyaros hegyi szerpentineket (na itt csak ilyen van), az ne buszuzzon! Ilyen vagyok én! Előző héten a Teide-túrára busszal mentünk, hát a gyomrom, már félúton magmakamrává alakult és egész ottlétünk alatt ki akart törni. Akkor megfogadtam, hogy többet nem megyek busszal (sokat rontott az élményen). 

Szóval Taganana a sziget északi részén lévő régió, melynek központjába, Taganana faluba mentünk, amely a hegyek között megbúvó kis település. Napsütésben indultunk, de nagyon hamar tejfehér ködön és szitáló esős szerpentineken küszködtük át magunkat, pár napja ugyanezt fordított időjárásban tettem meg. A gyülekező a falu határában lévő kis étteremben volt, a buszosok előbb érkeztek Dominik vezetésével, így volt idejük sorba állni a wc-nél, hogy az ő magmakamrájukkal tudjanak foglalkozni, mire az autósok megérkeztek. Az étteremben gyorsan belecsapott Dominik, 3-4 fős csapatokba rendezett és kiosztott egy lapot, amin évszámok voltak, majd adott folymatosan egy-egy laminált lapon kis mondatot, kifejezést és a megfelelő helyre tippelve ki kellett találni, hogy mi a történet. Megbeszéltünk, majd a másik csapatnak előadtuk, hogy szerintünk mi hova illik és mi a story. Ezután túrára indultunk a faluba, ahol a helyi templom előtti téren előkerültek másfajta laminált lapocskák a hátoldalukon évszámmal. Először, csak az évszámos oldalt nézhettük és sorba kellett állnunk a legrégebbtől a legújabbik, úgy hogy nem mutathattuk egymásnak a lapot, csak érzésre álltunk be. Majd elolvastuk a másik oldalt és egyrészt így összeraktuk Taganana történetét, valamint itt derült ki, hogy jól gondoltuk-e az előző feladatnál a megoldást, majd egymásnak elő kellett adnunk, hogy az adott évben mi is történt. Ezután jött egy vicces feladat, a kis csapatoknak hang nélkül elő kellett adnia egy történetet az egyik ilyen kis laminált kártyáról a többieknek, akiknek ki kellett találni. Nagyon vicces volt, például a portugál-litván válogatott zseniális volt és a templomot renováló szakik megálltak munka közben és bámulták ezt a csodát.

On Thursday morning, based on what we discussed the previous day, I picked up 3 traveling companions with the rented car and we set off for our daily destination, which is none other than Taganana. A little explanation! Renting a car in Tenerife is not expensive, it is fast, and it is advisable to rent one if you plan to go on trips every day after school. A weekly bus pass is 50 euros, 100 for 2 weeks, and a car can be rented for 108 euros from completely reliable international (autoreisen) or local companies (Cicar). According to Petra, there is no culture or history of public transport on the island, the locals always use cars, public transport was created only for tourists and that's it. In addition, there is no 5m horizontal section of road here, you either go up or down, and if you can't stand this and the constant hairpin mountain serpentines (well, that's all there is here), don't take the bus! That's who I am! Last week, we went on the Teide tour by bus, and my stomach turned into a magma chamber halfway through and wanted to burst during our entire stay. Then I vowed not to take the bus again (it made the experience worse).

So, Taganana is the region in the northern part of the island, to the center of which we went to the village of Taganana, which is a small settlement hidden among the mountains. We started in the sun, but very soon we were struggling through milky white fog and drizzling rain serpentines, I did the same a few days ago in the opposite weather. The meeting was in a small restaurant on the border of the village, the bus drivers arrived first, led by Dominik, so they had time to queue at the toilet so they could deal with their nuclear chamber before the drivers arrived. In the restaurant, Dominik quickly got into it, organized them into teams of 3-4 people and handed out a sheet with year numbers on it, then gave them a small sentence or phrase on each laminated sheet and guessed the right place to guess what the story was. We discussed and then presented to the other team what we think fits where and what the story is. After that, we went on a tour to the village, where in the square in front of the local church, we found a different type of laminated scapula with the year on the back. First, we could only look at the year page and had to line up from the oldest to the newest, so we couldn't show each other the page, we just lined up by feel. Then we read the other page and, on the one hand, put together the history of Taganana, and here it became clear whether we thought the solution to the previous task correctly, and then we had to present to each other what happened in the given year. Then came a funny task, the small teams had to silently present a story from one of these small laminated cards to the others, who had to guess it. It was very funny, for example the Portuguese-Lithuanian national team was brilliant and the professionals renovating the church stopped while they were working and stared at this miracle.

Ezután úgy folytatuk a túrát, hogy a csapatoknak Dominik a Goosechase alkalmazáson keresztül küldte ki a feladatokat és hagyta, hogy mi találjuk meg a feladatban foglaltakat, miközben jött velünk és segített, ha nagyon más megoldást találtunk. Leginkább a növényzettel és a történelemmel kacsolatosak voltak a kérdések. A hoszzú és nehéz túra végén, mi még továbbmentünk, mert az út végén volt a helyi általános iskola (amit meg szerettem volna nézni, mert munkaerőt keresnek :-D) és a helyi temető. Amilyen helyen voltunk, ha valaki tesiórán nagyot hibázik legalább nem kell messzire vinni, gondolom ezért ez a fura közelség. Jó ez morbid volt. De egyébként a szabadtéri foci-,és kosárpálya körül nincs kerítés, ami azért jó, mert ha elvéted a lövést, vagy a dobást, akkor a következő órákat, napokat rászánhatod a labda keresésére. Ezzel ért véget a túra. Ereszkedve a hegyi úton betértünk egy hangulatos helyi étterembe és közös étkezést csaptunk, miközben az elmúlt napokról storyztunk és reklámoztuk azokat a helyeket, ahol voltunk.     

   We then continue the tour in such a way that Dominik sent the teams the tasks via the Goosechase application and let us find the contents of the task, while he came with us and helped us if we found a very different solution. The questions were mostly related to vegetation and history. At the end of the long and difficult tour, we continued on, because at the end of the road was the local elementary school (which I wanted to see, because they are looking for workers :-D) and the local cemetery. In the place where we were, if someone makes a big mistake during the test, at least they don't have to be taken far, I think that's why this strange proximity. Well, that was morbid. But otherwise, there is no fence around the outdoor soccer and basketball courts, which is good because if you miss a shot or throw, you can spend the next hours and days looking for the ball. That was the end of the tour. Descending the mountain road, we visited a cozy local restaurant and had a meal together, while we talked about the past days and promoted the places we had been. 

Péntek a kurzus átbeszélésével, összegzésével és a Certificate átvételével járó adminisztrációval telt. 

Tényleg érdekes és tartalmas, sokszor szórakoztató volt mindkét kurzusom. Látszik, hogy az élményközponttú oktatás sokkal élvezetesebb és sokkal több képességünket, érzékszervünket veszi igénybe, nem csak a monotóniatűrő és a koncentráció állóképességünket. A nyugati oktatás már így működik (de azért kis mértékben, ha kell szivárogtatja vissza a régit) és törekszik arra, hogy a munkaerőpiac kihívásaira jobban megfelelő módon készítse fel a diákokat. Nem a tananyag mennyiségi szentségét teszi első helyre, hanem hogy olyan módon tálaljon kevesebb, de lényegesebb tudást, ami minél több képességünket veszi igénybe és közben kezeli a stresszt (például Moon szinte minden óráján a meditáltunk) és ahol jó hangulatban tölti el az órát diák és tanár egyaránt. Örülök, hogy itt tekinthettem bele ebbe a tőlünk teljesen más gondolkodásmódba, ami egyszer elér hozzánk is. 

Friday was spent discussing the course, summarizing it and administering the certificate. 

Both of my courses were really interesting and meaningful, and often fun. It can be seen that experience-centered education is much more enjoyable and uses many more of our abilities and senses, not just our ability to tolerate monotony and concentrate. Western education already works this way (but to a small extent, it leaks back the old one if necessary) and strives to prepare students in a more appropriate way for the challenges of the labor market. He does not put the quantitative sanctity of the curriculum first, but to serve less but more essential knowledge in a way that uses as many of our abilities as possible while managing stress (for example, we meditated in almost every class of Moon) and where the class is spent in a good mood by students and teacher as well. I am glad that I was able to look into this way of thinking, which is completely different from ours, and which will reach us one day.
