BB - Tenerife 6-7. nap

 Tegnap este egy hosszú nap végén, megpróbáltam blogot írni, de akármennyire is jó a szállásom (hála a februári foglalásnak) a wi-fi nem működött és hosszas próbálkozás után feladtam. Gondoltam majd ma és lám ma sem, DE a recepciós hölgy segített és így már gépelgethetek. 

Szóval tegnaptól egy új városban (az új fővárosban), Puerto Santa Cruz-ban járok egy másik kurzusra, mely az Experiental Learning in Tenerife (ELT) nevet viseli. Hétfő reggel elindultam a La Laguna-ból (régi főváros), a márciusi tavaszból a 10 km-re és 10 perc autóútra található Santa Cruz-ba a májusi nyárba. Hihetetlen az időjárás, mindig ámulok rajta. La Laguna tradícionális régi házakkal és épületekkel ékesített hangulatos városképéből megérkeztem egy ízig-vérig modern, irodaházakkal, betondzsungellel és húgyszaggal átitatott metropoliszába. Az ELT képzés a legnépszerűbb tanfolyam Tenerifén, ami meg is látszott a jelentkezők 45 fős létszámán. Az iskola kis előudvarán (ami egy magas irodaház alsó szintjén található) reggel a 3 tanárunk (Moon, Maja, Dominic) három 15 fős csoportra osztott minket. Ezután  minden csoport a saját, kis szobájában folytatta az ismerkedést egymással, a képzéssel és az adminisztrációval. Az előző képzésnél elfelejtettem írni, hogy egy Padlet nevű telefonos alkalmazással tartja a kapcsolatot a vezető tanár, oda rakja fel a tananyagot és mindnet, ami a képzéssel kapcsolatos (utazási infók stb.). A másik app pedig a Whatsapp, amin a valós idejű információk, kommunikáció zajlik, képeket rakunk fel, vagy épp gyors információcsere zajlik. A vezetőnk Moon ír származású tanárnő, Maja lengyel, Dominic pedig angol és az órákon cserélgetve egymást mindig másik csoportnál tartanak órát. A társaim pedig, 2 portugál, 3 litván, 2 ír, 2 osztrák, 2 ciprusi, 1 lengyel, 1 horvát és 1 magyar. 

Last night at the end of a long day, I tried to write a blog, but no matter how good my accommodation is (thanks to the February booking), the wi-fi did not work and I gave up after a long attempt. I thought about it today and see, not today either, BUT the lady at the reception and I can now type. 

So, starting yesterday, in a new city (the new capital), Puerto Santa Cruz, I am attending another course called Experiential Learning in Tenerife (ELT). On Monday morning, I left La Laguna (old capital), from the March spring to Santa Cruz, a 10 km and 10-minute drive away, for the May summer. The weather is incredible, I'm always in awe of it. From the cozy cityscape of La Laguna adorned with traditional old houses and buildings, I arrived in a thoroughly modern metropolis steeped in office buildings, concrete jungles and the smell of urine. The ELT course is the most popular course in Tenerife, which was reflected in the number of 45 applicants. In the morning, our 3 teachers (Moon, Maja, Dominic) divided us into three groups of 15 each. each group continued to get to know each other, the training and the administration in their own small room. In the previous training, I forgot to write that the head teacher uses a phone application called Padlet, where he uploads the curriculum and everything related to the training (travel information, etc.). The other app is Whatsapp, on which real information and communication takes place, we upload pictures or just exchange information quickly. Our leader, Moon, is a teacher of Irish origin, Maja is Polish, and Dominic is English, and they always exchange classes with a different group. My companions are 2 Portuguese, 3 Lithuanian, 2 Irish, 2 Austrian, 2 Cypriot, 1 Polish, 1 Croatian and 1 Hungarian.

Az Experiental Learning, mint módszer, a tapasztali úton történő tanulást jelenti, ahol nem a tananyagot visszük a tanterembe, hanem mi megyünk a tananyaghoz. 4 óránk volt , ahol az első órán kimentünk az irodaházak közötti sétálóutcára/térre és mozgásos-játékos, úgynevezett jégtörő feladatok/játékok közben ismerkedtünk egymással. Utána a tanteremben Dominic látványos és szórakoztató órán bemutatta vulkáni működést, mint a Kanári-szigeteket létrehozó geológiai folyamatot és eközben például egy költeményt is kellett költenünk, majd feltenni a Padlet csoportba, ami a vulkánból származó anyagokról szólt. Utána Maja magyarázta az ELT-t egy órán át, előnyeit és pozitívumait, majd újra Moon-nal volt egy óránk, aki ismertette az elkövetkező napok programját és válaszolt a felmerülő kérdésekre. A hétfői pluszprogram egy 17-19 óra közötti városnéző séta volt, amit az előző kurzusunk tanára Petra vezetett. Érdekesség: múlt héten is és most is hétfőn volt ez a városnéző, ami azért vicces, mert (erről Petra világosított fel), hétfőn és kedden vagy nincs nyitva semmi Tenerifén, vagy 17:00 után bezár.....és ugye mi hétfőn 17-kor kezdtük a sétát. De legalább megmutatta, hogy valamikor el lehet menni az adott helyre (múzeum, park, piac)akkor, amikor nyitva van. A tegnapi nap végén az órám, akkora számot mutatott a megtett lépések tekintetében, amit elkézelhetetlennek tartok, de éreztem magamon, hogy valóban rengeteget mentem. Nem is bántam, hogy nem volt net.

Experiential Learning, as a method, means learning by experience, where we do not bring the curriculum to the classroom, but we go to the curriculum. We had 4 hours, where in the first hour we went out to the pedestrian street/square between the office buildings and got to know each other during movement and games, so-called ice-breaker tasks/games. Afterwards, in the classroom, Dominic presented a spectacular and entertaining lesson on volcanic activity as the geological process that created the Canary Islands, and in the meantime we also had to write a poem and post it in the Padlet group, which was about materials from the volcano. After that, Maja explained ELT for an hour, its advantages and positives, and then we had another hour with Moon, who explained the program for the coming days and answered the questions that arose. Monday's extra program was a sightseeing walk between 5-7 p.m., which was led by Petra, the teacher of our previous course. Interesting fact: last week and now again, this tour was on Monday, which is funny because (Petra explained about this) either nothing is open in Tenerife on Mondays and Tuesdays, or it closes after 5:00 p.m......and what about Mondays, right? We started the walk at 5 p.m. But at least it showed that you can go to the given place (museum, park, market) when it is open. At the end of yesterday, my watch showed such a large number of steps taken, which I consider unmanageable, but I felt that I really walked a lot. I didn't even mind that there was no internet.

Ma (kedd), reggeli közben úgy éreztem magam, mint aki betonkeverőben aludt amiben csak sóder volt, víz nem. Napról-napra egyre fáradtabb vagyok Erasmus alatt, de mindig a reggelek a legdurvábbak. Reggeli közben, ha valaki fényképeket készítene az arcomról, az abból készült mémekből meggazdagodnék, az tuti. Miután elfogyasztottam a reggelimet olyan módon, mint a Bosszúállók főhősei a stáblistában elbújtatott gyrosos jelenetben, elindultam Santa Cruz-ba a Nemzeti Múzeumba, mert ma egész nap ott voltak az óráink. Ma is közös bemelegítéssel kezdtünk a múzeum előtti téren (szó szerint gimnasztikai bemelegítés), ahol körbeálltunk és az egyikünk mondott/mutatott egy gyakorlatot, majd a következő és így tovább. Majd kis csoportokat alkotva, activity-szerű játékot játszottunk, ahol a csoporttagjainkkal kooperálva kellett eljátszanunk a Moon által mutatott feladányt a többieknek. Például az én csapatomnak a kávézókban használatos karos kávéfőzőt kellett hang nélkül mozion picture-öznünk. A közeli kávézóból néztek is ránk a vendégek, mint Noé a harmadik tevére és a végére jött is egy biztonsági őr, aki megkérte Moon-t, hogy kicsit távolabb prezentáltassa ezt a különleges performanszt. Miután eleget tettünk e kérésnek egy másik téren párokban játékos ügyességi feladatokkal folytattuk az aznapi hangolódást. Itt is az egymás közötti kommunikáción és kooperáción volt a hangsúly, mint a múlt heti képzésen is. Ez a nagy tapasztalat a 2 képzésemről, hogy nem a tananyag mennyisége a döntő (hogy rövid idő alatt, minél többet), hanem a párok és kis csoportok közötti kommunikáció, közös munka, közös problémamegoldás és egymás közötti tapasztalatcsere. Mivel a CBL és az ELT is inkább szemlélet, gondolkodásmód, mint módszer, a tanáraink tudják, hogy az idő az, ami megtanít minket ezeket használni, ezért nem tudásdarálót akarnak csinálni az agyunkból, hanem betekintést nyújtanak ebbe a más világba.

Today (Tuesday), during breakfast, I felt like someone who slept in a concrete mixer with only aggregate and no water. Day by day I am more and more tired during Erasmus, but the mornings are always the roughest. During breakfast, if someone took photos of my face, I would get rich from the memes made from them, that's for sure. After eating my breakfast like the main heroes of the Avengers in the gyros scene hidden in the cast list, I headed to Santa Cruz to the National Museum, because we had classes there all day today. Today we also started with a joint warm-up in the square in front of the museum (literally a gymnastics warm-up), where we stood around and one of us said/showed one exercise, then the next and so on. Then we formed small groups and played an activity-like game, where we had to cooperate with our group members and play the task shown by Moon to the others. For example, my team had to film a coffee machine with a lever used in cafes without sound. The guests looked at us from the nearby cafe, like Noah at his third camel, and at the end a security guard came and asked Moon to present this special performance a little further away. After complying with this request, we continued the tune-up for the day with playful skill tasks in pairs. Here, too, the emphasis was on mutual communication and cooperation, as in last week's training. This is the great experience of my 2 training courses, that it is not the amount of course material that is decisive (that in a short time, as much as possible), but rather the communication between couples and small groups, joint work, joint problem solving and mutual exchange of experiences. Since CBL and ELT are more of an approach, a way of thinking than a method, our teachers know that time is what teaches us to use them, so they don't want to turn our brains into a knowledge grinder, but give us an insight into this other world.

Egy rövid szünetet követően a múzeumban folytattuk a napot, ahol 3 fős csoportokban kellett felfedeznünk a látnivalókat. A Kanári-szigetek születése, domborzata, története és az őslakosság (Guanche) témakörében kaptunk kérdéseket Moon-tól, aki egy Goosechase nevű applikáción keresztül küldte a kérdéseit, ott kellett megválaszolnunk azokat és pontozva a csoport teljesítményét rangsorolt minket. Az én csoportom lett a győztes! Közben a wordwall.net oldalon is kellett dolgoznunk, ami szintén a kiállítással kapcsolatos kérdéseket tartalmazta. Ilyen körülmények között gyorsan és izgalmasan telt az a két óra a múzeumban. Most pedig bocsássatok meg, de autentikus környezetben spanyol családok és drukkerek között kell (:D) megnéznem a spanyol-francia meccset. És  a 18 percnél még mindig a franciák vezetnek (0:1).

After a short break, we continued the day at the museum, where we had to explore the sights in groups of 3. We received questions about the birth, topography, history and indigenous people (Guanche) of the Canary Islands from Moon, who sent his questions through an application called Goosechase, we had to answer them there and he ranked us by scoring the group's performance. My group won! In the meantime, we also had to work on the wordwall.net page, which also contained questions about the exhibition. Under these circumstances, those two hours in the museum passed quickly and excitingly. Now, excuse me, but I have to watch the Spanish-French match in an authentic environment among Spanish families and fans (:D). And at 18 minutes, the French are still in the lead (0:1).
