Tenerife - CLIL and AI 3.0

 A mai nap kezdetét Judit blogjában lehet olvasni, mert megosztottuk a ma tanultak leírását. Tettük ezt azért, mert a nap első felében a még mindig tartó bemutatkozások után egy olyan feladatot oldottunk meg, ami ugyan biológiás témát ölelt fel, de a nyelvtanításban lehet igazán jól alkalmazni. 

You can read the start of today on Judit's blog as we shared a description of what we learned today.We did this because after the introductions that were still going on in the first half of the day, we did an exercise that covered a biology topic but could be really well applied to language teaching. 

A szünet és Dominik órája után Maja vette vissza a csoportunkat és folytattuk az ismerkedést a mesterséges intelligenciával. A tegnap nap során kellett a ChatGPT segítségével egy életrajzot készítenünk egy a lakhelyünkkel kapcsolatos híres személyről. Mi természetesen Kossuth Lajost választottuk. Ma ezzel a dokumentummal dolgoztunk tovább és egy alkalmazás (Simpleshow) segítségével videót készítettünk belőle. Ez egy egyszerű, de nagyszerű alkalmazás, mert nagyon látványossá lehet tenni a feladatokat. Úgy gondolom a tanítás során lehet alkalmazni abban a helyzetben, ha otthoni feladatot adunk a tanulóknak és ennek a segítségével kell bemutatniuk mondjuk egy élőlénycsoportot (ha már a saját szakomnál maradok) vagy történelemből egy-egy uralkodót bemutatni...Tény, hogy kell idő egy-egy ilyen minivideó elkészítéséhez, de nagyon élvezetes és látványos lesz a végeredmény. Íme a kész mű.

After the break and Dominik's lesson, Maja took us back to our group and we continued learning about AI. Yesterday, we had to create a biography of a famous person related to where we live using ChatGPT. We, of course, chose Lajos Kossuth. Today we worked further with this document and made a video of it using an app (Simpleshow). It's a simple but great app because you can make the tasks very visual. I think it can be used in teaching in a situation where you give a homework assignment to your students and they have to use it to present a group of living organisms (if I stick to my own subject) or a ruler in history... It is true that it takes time to make a mini video like this, but it is very enjoyable and the result is very spectacular. Here is the finished work.

Délután a szieszta után beizzítottuk Waze Andrást és elindultunk a La Lagúnától 30km-re lévő güimari piramisokat megtekinteni. Amint elhagytuk a mikroklímával megáldott la Lagúnát gyorsan emelkedett a hőmérséklet úgy 10 fokot. A piramisokhoz fél 5 körül értünk, de tűzött a nap és először éreztem, hogy "picit" melegem van. 

In the afternoon, after siesta, we fired up Waze András and set off to see the pyramids of Guimara, 30km from La Laguna. As soon as we left the microclimate blessed La Laguna the temperature quickly rose by about 10 degrees. We arrived at the pyramids at around 4:30, but the sun was blazing and for the first time I felt "slightly" hot. 

Egy nagy sétát tettünk a piramisokat bemutató területen, megcsodáltuk a helyi flórát és faunát. Megállapítottuk, hogy a szigetet a "kutyák szigete" (Canis - kutya és innen a név, nem a csicsergő madárkáról) helyett, nyugodtan hívhatnánk a gyíkok szigetének is. Elképesztő mennyiségben rohangáltak mindenhol a "fűben" és a piramisok sziklái között. Próbáltuk megnézni a "Mérgező növények kertjét", de sajnos mivel későn érkeztünk erre már nem kaptunk jegyet. Azért kívülről a bejáratot megnéztük. 

We took a long walk around the pyramids area, admiring the local flora and fauna. We found that the island could be called the island of the lizards instead of the "island of the dogs" (Canis - dog and hence the name, not the chirping bird). They were running around everywhere in the "grass" and among the rocks of the pyramids in amazing numbers. We tried to see the "Garden of Poisonous Plants", but unfortunately, as we arrived late, we couldn't get a ticket for that. But we did see the entrance from the outside.

A piramisok után elérkezettnek láttuk az időt az Atlanti-óceán megtekintésére. A part vulkanikus fekete homokkal és hatalmas kövekkel tarkított. A hullámok csodálatosak voltak. Úszásra nem éreztük alkalmasnak a partot és a morajló vizet, így csak a lábunkat áztattuk a kellemes hullámokban. 

After the pyramids, it was time to visit the Atlantic Ocean. The coast was dotted with volcanic black sand and huge rocks. The waves were amazing. The beach and the roaring water did not feel suitable for swimming, so we just soaked our feet in the pleasant waves.
